Arrival

• Check-in is 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. All guests will need a photo ID to get into the building.

• Busses should drop students off at front entrance on the East side of the building. You’ll see a circle drive and Rising Man Statue which is the Medtronic Logo (see map below).

• After dropping students, busses can park in the Medtronic Overflow lot near the Center for Autism building on the West side of the building. (See map below).

• If you are driving, drop off any guests first, then the driver can park in the parking ramp and enter through the parking ramp guest entrance on level P3. (See map below).

• All participants will need to check-in at the registration table upon entry and receive a name badge. They will also receive a RED or BLUE lunch ticket in their name badge. A light breakfast will be available.

  • • The welcome session will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.

    • All attendees will be escorted by Medtronic employee volunteers to the various sessions. There will also be signage helping direct where to go. If you get lost or confused, find someone in a Medtronic T-Shirt or stop by the check-in table.

  • Note: If you are presenting first, you will be escorted to your room by a Medtronic employee and they will help you get set up.

Lunch

• Lunch will be provided for all participants between 12:00 – 2:00 PM.

• Lunch will be broken up into two groups, RED and BLUE. All participants will receive a lunch ticket indicating which group they eat with. RED tickets will eat for the first half of the lunch break. BLUE tickets will eat during the second half. During this 2-hour time-period, there will also be a Medtronic Product Fair and tours of the technology building.

Departure

• The day will end at 3:00 p.m.

• Buses can pick up at the same location as drop-off.

• Name badges should be returned to the check-in table as you are leaving.

Security

• Attendees must be pre-registered. You will need to show photo ID to get into the building.

• There will be security on the premises to ensure guests are not traveling throughout the building without a Medtronic Employee escort. Please be respectful of Medtronic property.

Directions & Parking

Medtronic’s Operational Headquarters is located just North of HWY 694 and West of Central Avenue NE. 

Note: Google Maps will take you to the parking garage. If arriving by bus, the bus should be dropping students at the main entrance by the rising man statue.

• From 694, exit onto HWY 65 NORTH/CENTRAL AVE NE.

• Turn North onto HWY 65 NORTH/CENTRAL AVE NE.

• At the light, take a LEFT onto Medtronic Parkway.

• See the blue X on the map below indicating the drop off location.

• Busses can park in the Medtronic overflow lot, located just West of the building, indicated by a red P on the map below (MN Autism Life Skills Center).
